Connecting people, understanding change, trying new things.

I am Steffen Jung, an entrepreneur in Heilbronn, Germany. My work connects technology, marketing, education and bringing people together. I am interested in what new technical possibilities change in everyday life and how we can put them to good use.

How I work

When something interests me, I want to understand it properly. I try things out, ask questions and like to think a topic through thoroughly. The strategic decision and the concrete implementation interest me equally: What does an idea bring? How does it work? And what does it take for it to help in everyday life?

Conversations with others often add the questions and perspectives I am missing on my own. That is why bringing people together is part of my work, whether in a project, in learning or at an event. I especially like open formats such as barcamps, because everyone can contribute their own experience and it is not yet clear where a conversation will go.

These interests run through everything I do: With gravima, I deliver digital projects. Education Future is about learning and career paths into IT. With connect.IT, I help shape exchange and networking in Heilbronn-Franken.

My enthusiasm for technology began with the C64 and BASIC. How that became my career, I tell in the post about my job application website back then.

I founded gravima in 2009. Our team builds websites, online shops and online marketing for businesses, from the first strategic question to the finished result.

At Education Future, people learn IT the way it is learned best: together, on site and with real projects, for example in retraining programmes to become IT specialists.

Chair of the board · since 2014

On 15 July 2014, 26 people founded connect.IT at Heilbronn University. Today more than 130 members exchange ideas, from large companies to universities and startups.

Coworking Heilbronn

We founded the association at the end of 2014 and in March 2015 opened one of the region’s first coworking spaces, on the fifth floor of the Wollhaus tower.
